Aconcagua Base Camp Trekking Plaza Francia and Plaza de Mulas
Aconcagua is the tallest mountain in South America. Aconcagua offers a variety of interesting routes for climbers of all levels. The majestic of the Aconcagua allows us to contemplate the colossus in all its magnitude. Plaza Francia and Plaza de Mulas are base camps to the expeditions that try to arrive to the summit, will allow us to palpitate the longings and certainties of men and women that make an effort to arrive to the summit.
Itinerary:
Day 1: Mendoza / Penitentes
Day 2: Penitentes / Horcones / Confluencia
Trek to confluencia (3350 mts)
Day 3: Confluencia / Plaza Francia / Confluencia
Trek to Plaza Francia (South Face of the Aconcagua Base camp, 4200 mts).
Day 4: Confluencia / Plaza de Mulas
Trek to Plaza de Mulas hotel (4230 mts)
Day 5: Rest day in Plaza de Mulas
Day 6: Plaza de Mulas
Trek to Horcones Superior Glacier and Plaza de Mulas base camp
Day 7: Plaza de Mulas / Horcones / Mendoza
Descent to Puente del Inca and transfer to hotel in Mendoza
Day 8: Mendoza - airport
