Three Sisters Adventure Trekking has been adjudged one of the three winners among the most innovative, authentic and successful tourism initiatives for first-ever Geotourism Challenge that had received over 320 entries from 83 countries. The contest was organised by National Geographic’s Center for Sustainable Destinations and Ashoka’s Changemakers. “Each of the three will receive $5,000 to support their efforts,” states a press release. The Three Sisters Adventure Trekking uses positive aspects of tourism to create equity for local women and bring revenue to the poorest areas of Nepal, states a press releases issued on Wednesday.
