Feldberg at the elevation of 1493m is the highest mountain in the Black Forest and Freiburg im Breusgau is the closet city of Feldberg.

Feldberg is the biggest winter skiing resort in Germany which offers 28 ski lifts and over 50 km of alpine pistes with up to a black level of difficulty. Feldberg has a unique nature with sub alpine vegetation. In winter with the clear weather you can see French Vosges, Hornisgrinde, Swabian Alb, Bavarian Alps, Zugspite, Austrian Alps, Swiss Alps, French Alps with Mont Blanc and if you are lucky enough than you can also see France, Germany, Switzerland and Austria from the top of Feldberg.
