Gasa Hot Spring Trek

Gasa Hot Spring trek is an easy trek, which includes 5 days. The trek starts and finishes in Tashithang. The trail crosses very wet area of semi tropical forest where one has to be careful of leeches and also for flower lovers there are abundant wild orchids. Then the trail requires a steep climbing to the terraced field of Damji and crosses through Gasa village and the Dzong. The Jigme Dorji National Park administers the hot-spring complex and offers various kinds of accommodation in a grove of large birch trees. There are few houses that can be rented and few buildings that can be used for kitchens, dormitory and numerous good camping places. So in overall it is pleasant to spend a day at the Gasa Hot Spring. This hot spring is a famous place as people from all over the country come to have bath, due to its curative powers. During the trek, village women may encounter selling souvenirs of Tibetan style Jewellery.

Day 2: Damji – Gasa Tsachhu
Day 3: A Day at Gasa Tsachu
Day 4: Gasa Tsachu - Damji
Day 5: Damji - Tashithang
