Karlsruhe, is a city in the south west of Germany near the French-German border and Germany’s largest oil refinery.

Attractions of Karlsruhe are as follows:

 

1). Durlacher Turmberg is a look-out tower which is standing from the 13th century.

2) Stadtgarten – A recreational area near the main station was built during the Bundengartenschau in 1967.

3) Marktplatz with the stone pyramid marking the grave of the city’s founding father. The pyramid was built in 1825, is a symbol of Karlsruhe.

4) Kleine Kirche - Little Church is the oldest church of Karlsruhe which was built in between 1773 – 1776.

5) Rondellplatz is dedicated to Baden’s first constitution in 1818.

6) St. Stephens Parish Church which was built in-between 1889 and 1896 is one of the masterpieces of neoclassical church architecture in Southern Germany.

7) Zentrum fur Kunst und Medientechnologie is a centre of Art and Media. The collection in here is exceptional with the combination of art and modern technologies.
