Malargüe

Malargüe is a city in the southwest part of the province of Mendoza in Argentina. It is located about 370 km south of the capital of the province of Mendoza also named Mendoza. Malargue is linked to the north of Mendoza by the famous National Route 40
 
This place is  a good place for adventure travel and eco tourism. It has a range of natural reserves like the Witches'Cave (Las Brujas Cavern) and Llancanelo Lagoon. You can visit geomorphologic phenomena like: Laguna Niña Encantada (Enchanted girl’s lagoon), Pozo de las Animas (the well of the Souls) and volcanoes Peteroa and Payun. You will find many travel agencies for tours to these interesting places.
 
It's also a good spot for horseriding. These excursion on the horseback through the Andes last about 4 or 5 days.
 
There are skiing options in Ski Resort Las Lenas. This ski resort is about one hour drive from Malargue.
 
Other activities are interesting geological and paleontologic hiking tours, river rafting, climbing, rappelling, canyoning, Tyrolean crossing, fly-fishing and bird-watching.
 
Concerning accommodation; there is a big variety of accommodation and lodging in Malargüe. You will find cheap hostels, hotels as well as more upmarket. There are camping sites, apartments, cabins, touristic resorts, shelters (refugio) and hostelries.
