San Martín de los Andes is a European style alpine village located within the Lanin National Park on the shores of Lake Lácar in the province of Neuquen, only 25 miles away from the border of Chile.
 
It is a popular destination for tourism, which is not surprising, because its landscape is one of the most spectacular of Patagonia. Many tourists come either for the ski season or for the summer.
