Garmisch-Partenkirchen is a district in Bavaria. It has highest mountain Zugspitze (2962m) of Germany. The valley together with the surrounding mountains is called as Werdenfelser Land.
 
Garmisch-Partenkirchen is a favourite winter sports spot of skiers, hikers, snowboarders, mountaineers and other outdoor-oriented visitors.
