Idar-Oberstein is the largest city in the Hunsruck region of southwest Germany. Idar-Oberstein has become tourist attraction since 1960s.

2. Deutsches Edelsteinmuseum - a German gemstone museum
3. Historische Weiherschleife - a 17th century cutting mill.
4. Museum Idar-Oberstein – A fluorescent room with special light effects and you can also see the collection of crystal and quartz.
5. Felsenkirche – It was made in the 15th century by a knight. It has trickling well and an unusual altarpiece.
6. Twin Castles “Burg Bosselstein” and “Schloss Oberstein” dated from 1196
