Attendorn trekking information

Attendorn is a German town in the Olpe district in North Rhine Westphalia.

Attractions of Attendorn:

St. John the Baptish Parish Church – This church has Romanesque tower from 1200 and a Gothic nave from the 14th century.

Town Hall with South Sauerland Museum – This old town dates back to the 14th century which was renovated in the 18th and 19th century.

Schnellenberg Castle – It has hotel and restaurant in it.

Town wall’s towers – These towers has been used by the Schutzengesellschaft Attendorn 1222 e.v. as a weapon store.

Atta Cave – This cave was exposed during limestone mining in 1907 and it is one of the German’s biggest interconnected cave systems.
