Meiningen is a town in Germany which is located in the Southern part of the state of Thuringia. It is situated on the river Werra.

Main sights of Meiningen are –

Schloss Elisabethenburg – Served as a dual residence until 1918 and today it is used as art collection and Music Museum dedicated to the musical directors of the Meininger Hofkapelle.
