The region has over the centuries always been the travelroute between North and South, East and West, from Hannibal to Napoleon, for trade and war. In our time, as the tourists added on the way to Tuscany, Umbria, Milan, Venice, Florence. Few people have discovered how nice and quiet Piemonte is. The climate is influenced by the sea and the mountains, so the summers are not too hot.
The Langhe is well known for wine, mushroom, truffle and the hazelnut and is the birthplace of Slow Food.
