Puglia trekking information

La Puglia is one of the south Italian regions. Puglia has a unique geographic shape. Elongated into the sea and mostly flat with short stretches of rugged mountains covered by dense forests and apparently poor in watercourses.  Each of the different territories are in some ways seperate regions  linked by  the composition of an extraordinary region rich Surrounded by fields of wheat and olive groves and orchards along with lush hills. Visitors are impressed and attracted by contrasting and frequent presence of rocks and stony hills.

The capital of Puglia is Bari. The provinces are Bari, Brindisi, Foggia, Lecce, Taranto. Salento is the south-eastern extremity of the region of Puglia. Salento is a peninsula made out of a rock of limestone dividing the Adriatic Sea from the Ionian Sea. 

The fertile campaign Pugliese is populated by beautiful farms, one of the characteristics of the rural landscape of this region. A sort of self citadel, which finds its origins in rustic Roman villa's, reachable only through routes inconvenient tracks and unpaved roads.

The Gargano National Park covers an area of approximately 121 hectares, in which we find a number of unique habitats of their kind. We move from deep forests,  from large  highlands, to steep cliffs overlooking the sea, with fantastic caves fantastic,. Also part of this jewel are the four Tremiti islands surrounded by a crystal clear sea rich in caves.
