In Pokhara, Sarangkot is the most popular destination from where you can enjoy the great view of the Pokhara valley and the magnificient view of the mountains. It is only 5 km from Lake Side. It is the highest view point and that's why it is famous for the best view of sunrise and just 1592m high. Sarangkot is 5 degrees cooler than Pokhara.
You can easily reach Sarangkot either by 45 minutes taxi ride to the top and then 45 minutes hike upto the main view point or start your trek at Bindabasini Mandir (north of Pokhara) and trek through Sarangkot. Many people come here for sunrise and go back after few hours but it will be good if you can stay there for one night and enjoy the view and city light of Pokhara from Sarangkot. Paragliding can be done from here also. You can have breakfast at one of the hotel in Sarangkot and do the small trek upto Deurali and walk down to the highway and take the bus back to Pokhara.
