Dolpo is a beautiful and remote region in Western Nepal, with Dunai as its district headquarters. The culture of Dolpa people is closely related to Tibetan Culture and ancient cultural traditions of Buddhists can still be experienced and Dolpa is home to some of the oldest monasteries in Nepal.
The natural beauty of the region is stunning and it has a diverse eco-system partly because the altitude in the region ranges from 1524m to 7754m above sea level.
The Shey Phoksundo National Park in Dolpo is is the largest National park of Nepal. In this park you'll find animals like blue sheep, leopards, wolves, the Himalayan black bear and the rare snow leopard, the beautiful Shey Phoksumdo lake, several hot springs, glacial valleys and high passes.
There are possibilities for several short treks and two main trekking routes which will take around 15 tot 20 days.
