The trekking route to Phoksumdo Lake was difficult before but since the construction of a new trail up the Suli Gaad from its confluence with the Thulo Bheri. Phoksumdo Lake is dramatic and the region contains a tiny pocket of the unusual Bon-po culture. The lake comes under Shey Phoksumdo National park which was established in 1981. The lake and trail will be snow-bound from mid-November to mid-May. You can find snow-leopards and herds of blue-sheep in the northern restricted region of the park near Shey Gompa.
As we know, that Phoksumdo Lake comes under the National park and the park authority prohibited the use of firewood, so you need to carry Karosene with the food.
Trek to Phoksumdo Lake is only for three days but you will access to Nepal's highest waterfall and clear water of Phoksumdo lake which we think you will enjoy. During your trek you will reach to the height of 3730m.

Day 1 : Dunai to Chepka
Day 2 : Chepka to Renje
Day 3 : Renje to Phoksumdo Lake
The best season to visit the Phoksumdo Lake is from May to October.
