From the parking lot cross the river into Isstal valley and continue to Issanger, a wonderful meadow basin. From here follow the trail switchbacking towards Lafatscherjoch saddle. On the other side of the saddle the trail descends towards a pasture and then climbs towards Speckkarspitze. Continue along a grassed ridge to the north-western crest and on through diverse terrain to the peak. Backtrack to get to the starting point.
