A portion of the &lt;strong&gt;Bavarian Forest &lt;/strong&gt;is taken by the &lt;strong&gt;Nationalpark Bayerischer Wald&lt;/strong&gt; which was established in the year 1970 as the first national park in Germany. The highest mountain in Bavarian Forest is the &lt;strong&gt;Grober Arber&lt;/strong&gt; which is 1456m tall.&lt;/p&gt;
