 <description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;The Harz&lt;/strong&gt; is a mountain range in central &lt;strong&gt;Germany&lt;/strong&gt;, which is the highest mountain chain in northern Germany. The Harz has a length of 110 kilometers.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;The Harz&lt;/strong&gt; is divided into the &lt;strong&gt;Upper Harz&lt;/strong&gt; and the&lt;strong&gt; Lower Harz.&lt;/strong&gt; The Upper Harz has a higher elevation and features fir forests and Lower Harz slowly descends towards the nearby land and has deciduous forest mingled with meadows.&lt;/p&gt;
