Gosainkunda Lake is one of the holy lakes and famous pilgrimages of Nepal situated at an altitude of 4380m, north-west of Helambu. Thousands of pilgrims visit the lakes during a full-moon festival every August. Gosainkunda Lake is also sacred for Buddhist.
According to Hindu mythology, when the Gods churned the primordial ocean to produce elixir of eternal life, the poison was produced. To save the universe from the poison Lord Shiva drank it scaring his throat blue in the process. To cool down his burning throat, Lord Shiva struck his trident into the rock creating three springs which resulted in the formation of beautiful lakes. Finally, Lord Shiva drank the water of the lakes and got rid of the pain.
The main attraction of Gosainkunda is undisturbed trails, Laurebina pass 4610m, unique cultural experience, mountain views, floral and bio-diversity. It’s an 8 days trek which will take the trekkers to the magnificent views and to the holy place of Nepal.

Day 3 : Laurebina Yak to Gosainkunda
Day 4 : Gosainkunda to Gopte
Day 5 : Gopte to Tharepati
Day 6 : Tharepati to Gul Bhanjyang
Day 7 : Gul Bhanjyang to Chisopanni
Day 8 : Chisopani to Sundarijal
The best time to visit Gosainkunda Lake is from the month of October – November and March to April.
