Phajoding Gumpais a monastery at an altitude of 3650m and lies in the Western Bhutan. Phajoding is a large monastic complex with 10 lhakhangs and 15 monastic residences. It was founded in the 13th century by Togden Pajo, a yogi from Tibet, who was searching for a place to meditate.
The Druk Path trekkers uses this Phajoding gumpa as a camping place.
