Lamayuru is a Tibetan Buddhist Gompa located in Kargil District of Western Ladakh. Lamaruru is the largest and the oldest gompa in Ladakh with the inhabitants of approximately 150 permanent monks. You can enjoy two annual mask dance festival of Lamayuru in the second and fifth months of the Tibetan lunar calendar.
