Braga or Bryaga is a small Tibetan style village at around 3500 metres. At Bryaga there is an ancient gompa. Gompa of Bragya is the largest gompa in the district and it also has huge display of statues, thangkas and manuscripts which is according to the people is 400 to 500 years old. If you visit Bragya in the month of spring you can see the archery contests which is celebrated with lots of drums and dancing. After the festival the booze starts flowing to enjoy the festival with the homemade booze. From Bragya it is just a short walk to reach Manang.
