The highest elevation of Thuringian Forest is the Grober Beerberg, 982m &amp;ndash; 3,222ft.&lt;br /&gt;
The main attraction of &lt;strong&gt;Thuringian Forest&lt;/strong&gt; is the famous&amp;nbsp;&lt;strong&gt;Wartburg Castle&lt;/strong&gt;, a castle situated on a 1230 foot which was founded in 1067 by the count of Schauenburg. The area is suitable for&amp;nbsp;year round tourism including many winter sports resorts.&lt;/p&gt;
