 <description>&lt;p&gt;Tengboche (or Thyangboche) is a village in the Solo Khumbu area of eastern Nepal. It is located at 3,867 meters high. In Tengboche you can find an important Buddhist monastery. This monastery is the largest gompa in the Khumbu region and was built in 1923. After it was destroyed by fire in 1989, it was rebuilt with the help of volunteers and the provision of foreign aid. Tengboche gompa is home to roughly 25 monks and 20 students, under the leadership of the Abbot Ngawang Tenzin Zangbu. The three day festival of Mani Rimdu takes place straight after October&#039;s full moon.&lt;/p&gt;
